Indian Institute of Technology which is known as IIT in short. JAM exam is organized at the national level by IITs. This exam is conducted to get admission in MSc, Combined MSc-Ph.D, MSc-Ph.D. To get admission, students start preparing for many months in advance, even after some students are declared unsuccessful, this definitely gives information that the level of examination is high.

IIT JAM Full Form

The full form of IIT JAM is “Joint Admission Test”.

What is IIT JAM?

It is a national level Joint Entrance Examination, admission is provided in IITs and IISc on the basis of marks obtained after passing this examination. After getting admission one can study MSc (Four Semesters), Combined MSc-PhD, MSc- MTech, MSc-PhD, Dual Degree and other courses.

IIT JAM Qualification:

To appear in IIT JAM exam, a candidate must have passed graduation with 55 percent marks.

IIT JAM Exam Pattern:

IIT JAM exam is organized in three parts, in the first part questions related to Biological Science, Mathematics and Geography are asked and in the second part Technology (Biotechnology), Chemistry (Chemistry), Geology (Geology), Mathematical Statistics ( Mathematical Statistics) questions are asked, in the third part all the questions are of numerical type. In the question paper, multiple choice questions with one correct answer, multiple choice questions with multiple correct options and numerical answer type questions are asked.
