Know About Indian Navy
The Indian Navy is active from the year 1830. It is known by everyone that the Naval Branch of the Indian Army Force is Indian Navy. To protect the British shipping the Indian navy has established East India Company’s Marine. But till the year 1830 it was known as Majesty Indian Navy. In the year 1934 it was renamed to Royal Indian Navy. But after the independence in the year 1950, it got it real name as Indian Navy.
The main aim of the Indian Navy is to give full security to Marine of our country. The Navy also come in great help to maintain the good international relationship through the missions which also includes disaster relief. The Chief of the Naval Staff is Admiral Sunil Lanba PVSM, AVSM, ADC. The Vice Chief of the Naval Staff is Vice Admiral Karambir Singh AVSM. There are totally 3 command which are operating by our Indian Army. Flag Officer Commanding in Chief is heading each Command. The rear admiral is commanding the Eastern and Western Command and Flag Officer Sea Training is commanding the Southern naval Command.
There is also one other Command which is Andaman and Nicobar Command that is located at Port Blair. This Command was established in the year 2001. The Indian Navy is providing very well training to their staffs. All the officer training is taking place in Kerala the place called Ezhimala. The main mission of the Indian Army is to safeguard the Maritime trade. There comes many vacancies in the Indian Army.
